Award-winning Director, Brian Sanders, brings you an evening of “breathtakingly dangerous and hauntingly beautiful” theatrics, as JUNK presents Dancing Dead IPX – an immersive performance experience. Staged in a local landmark, the Shiloh Baptist Church, Dancing Dead IPX breathes new life–and “the dead”–into the three story attraction. Originally produced in 2011, the new production of Dancing Dead IPX includes extended material set to engage the seven senses of the human body within a fully immersive theater experience. The audience traverses the spectacle of aerial acrobatics, the humor and humanness of theatre, and the awe-inspiring presence of one of Philly’s edgiest band of artists.
A Philly Fringe favorite since 1999, Brian Sanders is daring and dangerous, presenting choreography that is off-the-wall and unconventional. Sanders’ work marries traditional dance with daredevil physical theater in unexpected ways in unexpected venues. Sanders’ performances are unique, engaging and wonderfully surprising, full of urban vitality and hip, edgy fun. With just the right amount of transgression, danger, and subtle grace, Brian Sanders transcends the typical theatre dance formalities and delivers a thrilling and fully immersive performance experience.
